Comic Transcript

Panel 1:
Closeup of Iffy.
He holds up his index finger and says: I believe we each have an intended purpose in life, Mimi. But what if we’ve missed our calling?
Mimi, off camera, says: It’s a little late to worry about that.
Iffy says: For us, yes. But what about the youth?

Panel 2:
Iffy is facing forward. Mimi is behind him, holding up a shopping list.
She says: I’m sure they’d love to hear from you.
Iffy grins with satisfaction, and says: Yes.
Mimi says: But right now, I need you to go pick up some groceries.

Panel 3:
Iffy and Mimi are face to face.
Iffy says: Kids need to take this seriously. There are so many options: Doctor or lawyer, writer or teacher—
Mimi grins and says: Paper or plastic. Skim or two percent.

Panel 4:
Closeup of Iffy. He is indignant.
He says: Okay, okay. I’m going.
Mimi, off camera, says: But if you happen to see any young people at the store, please don’t—
Iffy says: Fine. I’ll just keep them in the dark!
